Italian Sausage and Gnocchi

Gnocchi is a small potato dumpling from Italy, available in most grocers in the pasta section
Prep Time : 10 minutes
Cook Time : 30 minutes
Serves 2
Ingredients
1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
1/2 lb ground italian sausage
1 can diced tomatoes 15 oz
1 can tomato sauce 8 oz can
1 small onion diced
2 garlic cloves minced
1/4 cup dry white wine
1 tbsp dried thyme
1 tbsp dried oregano
1/4 cup cream
1 1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp black pepper
1 package Davinci potato gnocchi
Directions
Cook gnocchi according to package directions.

Heat a large skillet over medium high heat.
Add olive oil, brown sausage. Remove sausage from pan. Reduce heat to medium and saute onion and garlic until translucent, about 3 minutes, being sure not to burn garlic. Add wine and cook 3 minutes. Add spices, diced tomatoes and tomato sauce. Return sausage to pan bring to a boil then reduce heat and simmer 15 minutes. Add cream, stir and serve over gnocchi.
