This heartwarming dessert is the perfect finale to a cozy, winter meal.
Prep Time : 30 minutes
Cook Time : 20 minutes
Serves 12
Ingredients
1 cup unsalted butter
2 tbsp unsalted butter
12 oz semi-sweet chocolate
2 1/4 cup sugar
5 1/4 tbsp cornstarch
12 eggs (6 whole eggs, and 6 egg yolks)
Directions
In a saucepan over low heat, melt the butter (1 cup + 2 tbsp) and chocolate together. Set aside.

In a mixing bowl, combine the sugar and cornstarch. In a separate bowl, whisk the eggs and yolks together. Add the melted butter-chocolate mixture to the sugar mixture and combine thoroughly with a wire whisk. Stir in the eggs and whisk just until smooth.

Place in the refrigerator overnight.

Preheat the oven to 400 degrees.

Grease 12 small ramekins with butter (or use 6 smaller molds). Scoop the mixture into the ramekins so that they are each two-thirds full.

Bake on the top oven rack for 20 minutes. Serve immediately.
