cup fresh basil leaves

cup fresh parmesan cheese (grated)

cup pine nuts

cup olive oil

tbsp butter (melted)

|
Combine basil, garlic and pine nuts in a food processor. Process until chopped into tiny pieces. Add parmesan cheese. Process until it forms a smooth paste.
With processor running add butter. Add olive oil until pesto reaches desired consistency. Add a little water for a thinner pesto.
Serve over pasta, or as a topping for bread, crackers or sandwiches.
