Brunch Pizza

A combination of quiche and pizza, perfect for a brunch buffet!

cup all purpose flour (sifted)

lb Italian sausage , sliced

lb Swiss cheese , diced

eggs , slightly beaten

For Crust:
Sift flour with salt and pepper into mixing bowl. Cut in shortening until particles are fine. Sprinkle water over mixture while stirring with fork until dough holds together. Form into a square. Flatten into 1/2 inch thinkness, and smooth the edges. Roll out on a floured surface to a 15x10 inch rectangle. Fit loosely into a 13x9 inch pan.
For the filling:
Fry bacon and sausage until almost done. Drain and place in the bottom of the prepared, chilled shell. Evenly layer meat over bottom. Combine eggs and milk and carefully pour over the meats. Sprinkle the top with the diced cheese. Bake at 425 degrees F. for 25-30 minutes, until lightly browned. Cool for 15 minutes before serving. Cut into strips.
