Serves 6
Ingredients
2 lb ground beef
2 lb pork breakfast sausage
1 onion diced
2 garlic cloves minced
2 green bell pepper diced
1 lb great northern beans
1 tsp basil
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp paprika
1/4 tsp pepper
2 beef bouillion cubes
1 cup water
1/4 cup parsley
Directions
Brown beef and sausage in a large saute pan. Remove meat, reserve and drain all but 1 tbsp drippings from pan.

Add onion, garlic and bell pepper. Cook and stir until soft.

Combine pepper mixture, meat and remaining ingredients in a oven safe casserole dish. Stir to combine.

Bake at 350 degrees F for 1 hour and 15 minutes.
Chef's Notes
This is a classic frech dish. For a spicy alternative try mexican chorizo in place of the sausage.
