Bergershire Soup

Serves 8
Ingredients
2 lb ground chuck
1/2 cup onion diced
1 cup flour
4 cup water
1/2 cup carrot diced
1/2 cup celery diced
16 oz canned tomatoes chopped
1/2 tsp garlic powder
salt dash
pepper dash
Directions
In large saucepan, cook beef and onion over medium heat until well browned; do not drain fat. Gradually stir in flour, blending well after each addition to prevent lumping. Add 2 cups water; stir well. Add remaining 2 cups water; stir again. Add carrots, celery, tomatoes, and garlic powder. Bring to a boil and reduce heat to low. Simmer, uncovered, 20 minutes, stirring occasionally. Season with salt and pepper to taste.


NOTES : Best prepared the day ahead and reheated.
