lb butter

anchovy fillets minced

tsp garlic minced

small truffles minced (optional)

In a saucepan, simmer the cream until reduced by half. In another saucepan over low heat, melt the butter and stir in the anchovies and garlic. Cook, stirring over low heat until the anchovies dissolve. If using the truffles add them to the anchovy butter, bring to a simmer, stirring and whisk into the cream.
Serve with vegetables or crusty Italian bread.
