Warm Berry Crisp
This heartwarming dessert can be made quickly and easily any time of the year. Although best with fresh berries, simply use frozen berries when fresh berries are unavailable.

cup fresh blueberries, blackberries or raspberries (or a mixture)

lemon -juiced, 1 tbsp lemon juice reserved

cup all purpose flour

cup brown sugar

tsp ground cinnamon

plain yogurt
|
Preheat the oven to 375° F. Butter a 9-inch square or round baking pan.
Mix together the berries, lemon juice and sugar and spread the mixture in the bottom of the pan.
In a bowl, combine the flour, brown sugar, spices, and salt, and cut in the butter with a pastry blender or two table knives until the mixture is crumbly.
Cover the berries with the topping and bake for about 35 minutes, or until the topping is lightly browned and bubbling.
Serve warm with a dollop of your choice of yogurt, whipped cream, vanilla ice cream or frozen yogurt.
