In a fine mesh strainer, rinse rice in cold water until water runs clear. Drain.
Bring rice, 2 cups cold water and salt to a boil in a medium saucepan. Cover. Reduce heat to low and simmer for 20 minutes, or until all water is absorbed and rice is soft.
